This is an inexpensive Certified Kosher (OU) wine from Israel. It is a 60/40 blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Light golden in color, clear and bright. On the nose, there is a bit of gooseberry and slight alfalfa. Light bodied. Easy drinking. Slight acidity. On the palate, this is refreshing. Nice as an aperitif or with fish (Gefilte?). Drink now.
First time trying this Chard. Yellow/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is pretty with nice minerality along with lemons and a bit of peach. Lovely oily texture. Good acidity. Medium to full bodied. On the palate, this is deep. It is very young of course, but should really develop over time. Lemon cream notes. Very long finish. This is a rounder wine (in a good way) than I had been expecting and seems of California. There is some oak but seems in balance. Probably worth holding for a year or two and then drink for seven to ten after that. This would be nice with sea food
This is a 60/40 blend of Chardonnay and Roussanne from California. Golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is lovely with lemon rind, shite flowers, slight almond notes and chalk. Full bodied. Light to medium tannins. On the palate, this is big and round but enough acidity to work well. Still young, this should continue to mature and get better but is already drinking well. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years. Maybe better on its own right now as this is a big wine, but it would work with shrimp and pasta for example.
One of my favorite vineyards for Chardonnay and Jamie Kutch does great things with it. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has apples with spice and slight vanilla. Great texture. Crisp acidity. On the palate, the apples and vanilla come thru. Vibrant wine. Plenty of depth. Delicious now but should age gracefully. Drink over the next fifteen years. Nice on its own, this would work well with many foods. Baked seafood would be one.
For years MacRostie has had much success with Chardonnay and this latest offering is no exception. Pulling fruit from three distinct vineyards – all of which produce exceptional fruit on their own - this offers a taut acidity with light notes of green melon, citrus, star fruit, honeysuckle, lemon meringue, resin, guava and floral wildflower notes – a palette of tropical fruits. The combination of these vineyard sources shows how a wine can be better than the sum of its parts, and The Key is a harmonious, lovely, enjoyable wine.
An interesting designation of "Low Calorie" which is part of the Sustentia lineup of low calorie, low alcohol wines. This comes in at 9% abv. Silvery/gold in color with some green hues. The nose has a nice "wet rock" quality with a slight pineapple note. Medium bodied. Crisp, tart acidity on the palate. Nice yellow grapefruit notes and long with a touch of Lemon Drop candies. Good finish. It is very nice on its own, but really needs food to go along with the acidity. This would work nicely with seafood. Drink over the next few years. This is the first Chardonnay-centric sparkler MacRostie has ever made and, as an inaugural effort, they nailed it, creating a lovely wine that is complex and just plain enjoyable to drink. This is a soft, velvety sparkler that drinks incredibly smoothly. The carbonation is fairly mild, a plus in that we get more of the aromas and flavors of the wine than it being obstructed by bubbles. Soft baked bread, light lemon-lime, whispers of resin, grapefruit, white peach and Asian pear fill the palate.
This was oxidized. Apparently, the cork crumbled on removal. Of course, anytime a White Burgundy is oxidized earlier than expected it is worrisome. My friend who opened it said prior bottles had been good.
Green/gold in color with a bit more green than most Chardonnays. The nose is sweaty with slight smoke and plenty of green apples. very nice slick texture. Good acidity, yet the mouthfeel is softer. Of course, young, but showing a fair amount. The palate has apples, vanilla, and some char. Long finish. Overall, this is very good and seems to be built for the long haul. This is not "lean and mean", but it is also not a fruit bomb. Drink over the next seven to ten years. Great on its own, it would be a classic pairing with a seared peppercorn Tuna Steak.

Slightly creamy texture. On the palate, this has great lemon notes with underlying minerality and a touch of char. Long finish. This is great on its own, but there is a strong backbone of acidity that will make it better with food. It would be a good wine to have with lobster. Drink over the next ten years.
