People say wine drinkers are pretentious, but what's wrong with that? I think we're more easy going actually - we just like grapes a lot.

I'm from San Mateo and love to go to wine country whenever possible - especially during Barrell Tasting weekend in March. You should go.

ljeegs Thinks:

A fair restaurant corkage fee is:

$10

A tell-tale sign of a wine snob is:

Spitting

The wine region I most want to visit:

Tuscany

My "wish list" of wines I want to acquire soon:

I'd like a few nice whites. Nothing too buttery but I don't want to spend a fortune. I need to figure out what those are first. Any recommendations?

My biggest wine pet peeve:

People who look down on new wine drinkers. People who think wine needs to be expensive to be good.

My favorite wine quote:

I have no idea.

My dream wine to one day taste or own:

Chateau Petrus - just for the Alias connection.

The people with whom I most often enjoy wine:

Mark, Dawn, and Rebecca.

The last wine I had that I absolutely loved:

A sparkling red from Piemonte. Awesome. Great as a replacement to champagne either before or after dinner.

What I think of the movie Sideways:

Was good the first time. I liked he was marrying an Armenian girl - too bad he was cheating on her.

My thoughts on the 100 point rating scale made famous by Robert Parker and emulated by seemingly everyone:

Doesn't seem to be too helpful.

My wine travels have taken me to the following wine regions:

Just California wineries so far! Sonoma, Napa, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara...
